The Czech Republic is best known for Prague, and the city earns the hype with its castle, old town square, and beer that’s some of the cheapest and best in Europe. Outside the capital, Český Krumlov offers a smaller medieval town feel, and the country has spa towns like Karlovy Vary too. Trains make it easy to get around without a car. It’s a solid stop for history and architecture without breaking the budget.
