The Netherlands is flat, bike-friendly, and easy to get around, with Amsterdam’s canals, museums, and cycling culture as the main draw. Outside the capital, tulip fields, windmills at Kinderdijk, and smaller cities like Utrecht and Rotterdam round out a trip. Public transport and cycling infrastructure make a car unnecessary almost everywhere. Spring, especially April, is the best time to catch the tulip fields in full bloom.
